Tobias Augspurger is a climate technology innovator and open data / source advocate. In his role as Head of Data at Open Energy Transition, he is currently accelerating the global energy transition by standardising electrical grid data within OpenStreetMap as part of the MapYourGrid initiative. With a PhD in atmospheric sciences and a background in aerospace engineering, Tobias combines technical expertise in remote sensing with inclusive collaboration. In his spare time, he works on OpenSustain.tech and ClimateTriage.com (links in the comments), connecting and promoting open projects that combat climate change and biodiversity loss.
Andy Molineux is the Co-Founder of Upside Energy, the Manchester based start up that would grow to become Kraken Generation Flex, working to decarbonise the planet by leveraging flexible green energy, and is currently working as the CEO of Mercury Consortium. He gained his PhD in Computer Science from Lancaster University and has worked in a wide range of fields including: medical, computer networking, epidemiology, and engineering. He currently works on modernising the energy system, bringing IoT flexibility to a wide range of renewable energy assets and shaping the future of consumer device interoperability.
Charlotte Johnson is General Manager of Generation Flex at Kraken. The Kraken platform delivers flexibility at grid level, managing renewable generation and battery sites to charge when energy is cheap and abundant, and supporting the grid at peak times to bring down bills for everyone. She is passionate about accelerating the journey to net zero and has extensive speaking experience at major energy conferences, such as Reuters, Enlit, Energy Storage Summit, Economist. Charlotte regularly publishes engaging thought leadership material to a wide range of industry stakeholders.
With 11+ years across the UK renewables and flexibility sector, Sairah has played a key role in building and maturing EDF's Flex Ops capability, leading real-time operations for one of the UK’s fastest-growing BESS and distributed flexibility portfolios. She brings deep practical expertise in asset optimisation, operational resilience, and data-driven implementation at scale, and is a core partner in EDF’s collaborative work with Kraken and wider industry stakeholders.
